Amberley Lodge Nursing Home, is a privately owned Nursing Home and is registered with CQC to provide Nursing care for up to 17 people over the age of 55, who have Dementia.
All of the rooms in Amberley Lodge are single with their own washbasins and mobile toileting facilities. All our bedrooms have fixed ceiling track hoists for those who need it as well as a Nurse call System.
We take great pride in the fact that we maintain the ethos of Amberley Lodge as a person’s home. This is why all our bedrooms are personalised and decorated to look like a bedroom rather than a hospital room. All our lounges are wallpapered rather than painted.
We believe our achievements lie in our efforts to respect and empower people who have becomes disempowered and vulnerable. We welcome and encourage Relative’s involvement in the daily life of our residents.
Prior to admission to Amberley Lodge, an assessment is carried out to establish if the needs of the person can be met at the Home. When the person moves to the home, the assessment will be reviewed and individual care plans drawn up as well as risk assessments. These are reviewed on a monthly basis.
We also accept Emergency admission where there may be no time to carry out pre-admission assessments.
